This position is responsible for assisting children with severe emotional disturbance (SED) services to successfully achieve their treatment plan goals by providing one-on-one support within a community or school setting. This is a part time, KPERS eligible position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes: The ability to work with children individually and in group settings to assist them in developing skills identified by their treatment plans; supporting assigned children in daily living skills as needed and appropriate; timely and accurate completion of documentation and communicating information to assigned children's treatment teams regarding progress towards established goals; the provision of respite care, attendant care, psycho social rehabilitation, independent living skill building as defined by Medicaid and as qualified; transportation as qualified (company vehicle); participation in agency meetings, training and on going professional development as required. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requisitos
Qualified candidates have experience and education in human and/or social services, early childhood education and/or related fields. Background checks/UAs are required and must be void of issues related to abuse, use or neglect. Valid Kansas Driver's License with favorable driving record. Comprehensive understanding and commitment to privacy (HIPAA) and excellent communication skills are necessary. Requires the ability to work well with children and adolescents in a team setting. Training is required and provided. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
